Job summary
Meridian Consult is recruiting a Building Control Surveyor based in Stafford to join our Field Team. The role focuses on conducting site inspections, assessing compliance with Building Regulations and reviewing project plans.
The successful candidate will provide technical advice, prepare detailed reports and manage a diverse project portfolio across sectors. We welcome Registered Building Inspectors (Class 1, 2A or higher) and those progressing registration, with a strong understanding of
Qualifications
- Registered Building Inspector with RBI Class 1 or 2A or working towards registration.
- Experience in Building Control and warranty surveying.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and related legislation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid UK driving licence required.
Responsibilities
- Undertake site inspections and assess compliance with Building Regulations
- Review plans, specifications and supporting documentation
- Provide technical advice to clients, contractors and design teams
- Prepare reports and correspondence relating to inspections and plan assessments
- Manage a portfolio of projects across a variety of sectors
- Support clients throughout the design and construction process
