Job summary

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is recruiting a fully qualified Building Control Surveyor to operate within the Building Regulations, Dangerous Structures and Safety at Sports Grounds governance. The successful candidate will hold RBI Class 2A certification with progression to Class 2F and be a member

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience working at a professional, technical level for a Building Control Body.
• Licensed with the Building Safety Regulator as a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) to Class 2A, progressing to Class 2F.
• Associate/Corporate membership of RICS, ABE or CIOB (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Building Regulations compliance and enforcement.
• Assess plans and site inspections for safety and regulatory adherence.
• Advise developers, applicants and the public on Building Control matters.
• Progress through the career structure to upper pay scales within the Council.
