Job summary

The London Borough of Bromley is seeking a Senior Building Control Surveyor (Registered Building Inspector Class 2F) to lead plan checks and site inspections within the Building Control team. The role requires current Class 2F registration and experience in managing building control projects for both residential and commercial sites.

Qualifications

• Class 2F registered and working towards Class 3 status.
• Experience in building control project management for residential and commercial developments.
• Ability to explain regulations clearly to the public and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day plan checking and site inspections for an area.
• Supervise Class 1 RBI staff at plan checking and site inspection stages.
• Work with other council services to improve service delivery.
• Carry out site inspections within the borough and participate in out-of-hours standby for dangerous structures.
