Job summary

Creative Assembly / SEGA in Horsham is seeking a Senior Build Tools Engineer to enhance build systems, CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for multi-project development. You’ll work on backend services in C++ and C#, and support build and test issues across the studio.

The role balances hands-on coding with architectural thinking, requiring strong debugging skills, experience with Perforce, and the ability to influence engineering decisions across teams. On-site, full-time.

Qualifications

• Design, operate and improve build systems at scale.
• Strong programming ability in C++, plus C# or an equivalent scripting language.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps at scale.
• Familiarity with Perforce or similar version control in large teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve multi-project build pipelines across pre-submit, post-submit, scheduled tests, console and PC workflows.
• Improve CI reliability, error detection, logging standards and quality guardrails.
• Strengthen deployment pipelines that deliver builds to internal teams, QA and external platforms.
• Design, build and maintain backend services including build storage, symbol servers, archiving systems and dashboards.
• Write and review production-ready code in C++ and C#.
• Join the rotating weekly support responder role to triage build and test issues.
• Establish metrics and dashboards to surface issues early and track reliability trends.
• Work with the test automation team to integrate quality gates into CI workflows.

What you’ll do
