Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) in Manchester is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join a client‑focussed team and deliver professional building surveying services across projects. The role involves project management, contract administration, design and specification writing, and pre-acquisition surveys, with hybrid working and a strong APC mentoring culture.

Role Overview

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline
• MRICS or membership of other relevant professional body

Experience

• CDM / Health & Safety exposure
• Project based experience
• Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
• Excellent specification writing skills
• Good knowledge of JCT Contracts
• Track record in project management of projects from inception to completion
• Evidence of working with multiple stakeholders
• Experience working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
• Previously employed by a consultancy
