DAZN in Leeds is seeking a Senior Broadcast Support Engineer to lead on-shift operations for playout and OTT services, ensuring high-quality live sports delivery. You will troubleshoot complex issues, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across departments to optimize workflows and systems.

Based in Leeds, you will operate in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge broadcast technology, contributing to continual service improvement and robust technical documentation.

• Knowledge of IP transport and TS routing.
• Ability to troubleshoot live broadcast issues under pressure.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Champion best practices in broadcast technologies to ensure high-quality content delivery
• Support engineering and operations teams to maintain exceptional broadcast standards
• Monitor and manage IP channel outputs and the underlying infrastructure
• Oversee routing and configuration of Transport Streams (TS) over IP circuits
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for transmission equipment
• Adhere to and improve internal and external ticketing procedures
• Collaborate with live engineering and network teams on system enhancements and future projects
• Investigate and resolve faults, driving continual service improvementAct as the primary technical escalation point within the facility
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date technical documentation is created and maintained
• Lead process and workflow improvements to meet evolving business needs
• Attend internal and external meetings to support system and process optimization
• Liaise with ingest, MCR, and other engineering teams to maintain signal continuity

What You'll Bring:

• Broadcast playout systems including GFX, logo and text insertion.
• Broadcast contribution encoding techniques and high-level fault analysis.
• Experience in management of IP Transport Stream contribution (Multicast, Unicast Networks)
• Awareness of current OTT encoding technologies.
• Networking and Routing.
• Satellite Communications and Digital Video Compression.
• Stream Analysis tools.
• Solid background in satellite and fibre contribution signals
• Broadcast production facility glue infrastructure.
• Working under pressure to resolve issues during live broadcast
