Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Bridge Inspector to conduct principal, general and special inspections of bridges and highway structures across the Shropshire region. You will provide technical input to briefs, proposals and delivery teams while upholding Health, Safety, Welfare and CDM responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience of undertaking Principal Inspection, General Inspections and Special Inspections of Bridges and other Highway Structures to DMRB and the Inspection Manual for Highway Structures.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver bridge maintenance designs and priorities.
• Provide technical input to project briefs, proposals and deliverables with Project Managers.
• Understand Health, Safety, Welfare and CDM responsibilities and apply them on site.
• Collaborate with client teams and other disciplines to achieve technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Principal, General and Special Inspections of bridges and highway structures.
• Provide technical input to project briefs, proposals and deliverables.
• Work to tight deadlines and budgets while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and the client across projects.
