Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Bridge Engineer or Senior Bridge Engineer to join a multidisciplinary highways team in Manchester. The role is permanent and offers hybrid working with two to three days in the office, across major road, rail and footbridge projects in the UK and Ireland.

You will deliver bridge design across varied transport schemes, contribute to assessments and rehabilitation, apply Eurocodes/DMRB, and produce reports and contract documents while collaborating with clients and

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification required in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Experience in bridge and structures within highways/transport.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes, DMRB and UK standards.
• Strong report writing and design documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bridge and structures design packages for major highway/rail/footbridge schemes.
• Contribute to inspections, assessments and rehabilitation works.
• Prepare technical reports and contract documents.
• Apply Eurocodes and DMRB in design work.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Support or lead junior engineers and manage multiple projects.
