Job summary

Beavertown Brewery is seeking a Senior Brewer to lead and optimise our 24/7 brewing operation at Beaverworld. You’ll oversee shifts, coach brewers, and ensure every batch meets our quality standards while driving continuous improvement.

You’ll collaborate with the Brewing Manager, manage production plans, and maintain detailed records across BOTEC, SAP and Microsoft Office. This role demands hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a brewery production environment.
• IBD Diploma (or equivalent qualification underway).
• Strong planning, organisation and record-keeping skills.
• Experience working with production systems and data.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Flexibility to work across a 24-hour shift operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead brewing operations on shift, coordinating production activities across both breweries.
• Managing and supporting Production Brewers and Junior Brewers, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
• Running shift handovers, troubleshooting issues, and escalating where necessary.
• Helping build and adapt production plans to keep beer flowing efficiently and on time.
• Ensuring all products meet quality specifications through effective monitoring, sampling and analysis.
• Driving excellent housekeeping, hygiene, safety and compliance standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects across Health & Safety, quality, sustainability and operational efficiency.
• Maintaining accurate records across systems including BOTEC, SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Coaching, training and mentoring brewers to develop capability across the team.
