Beavertown is seeking a Production Brewer to join our brewing team in London area, responsible for turning raw materials into beer while ensuring quality, process and safety. You’ll operate our fully automated 150hl brewhouse, manage wort production, monitor fermentation, and support continuous improvement, with night shifts on rotation.

Ideal candidates have experience in large-scale production, strong brewing knowledge, and good record-keeping, with rewards like education support and holiday

Qualifications

• Experience in a larger-scale production brewery.
• Solid knowledge of brewing processes and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate our fully automated 150hl brewhouse.
• Take ownership of wort production from start to finish.
• Manage co-products including spent grain and surplus yeast.
• Prepare malt and brewing ingredients.
• Carry out brewhouse cleaning and CIP procedures.
• Monitor and update production systems including BOTEC, SAP and Microsoft applications.
• Perform routine quality checks, yeast counts and viability testing.
• Manage raw material usage and stock levels.
• Support brewing projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and support junior brewing team members.
• Help ensure shift priorities are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Operate within our fully automated cellar environment.
• Monitor fermentation performance and beer quality.
• Conduct vessel cleaning and sanitation processes.
• Manage yeast handling and storage.
• Run centrifuge separation and sheet filtration processes.
• Measure CO₂ and dissolved oxygen levels in tank.
• Carry out dry hopping and beer transfers.
• Ensure beer is ready and in specification for packaging.
• Troubleshoot process issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Help maintain world-class standards across food safety, quality and hygiene.
