Job summary

A leading brewing company based in London seeks a Brewing Manager to oversee brewing quality and production. Job description

Overview

Take the lead on brewing and beer quality, overseeing production onsite and with our partner breweries. Be the main contact for partners – helping troubleshoot, improve relationships, and raise the bar on quality. Work closely with marketing and the wider team to develop new, exciting beers that fit our vision.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all brewing activities with hands on brewing and packing
  • Lead and be responsible for the H&S in the brewery, implementing continuous improvement
  • Ownership of the SALSA accreditation, ensuring compliance
  • Work with the brewing schedule to brew beer efficiently
  • Develop the lead brewer and brewer to maximise their potential and set them up for growth, through knowledge sharing, professional development and formal training
  • Lead customer interactions in the brewery, including engaging, interactive tours for select customers
  • Be the technical lead on all things beer for the company
  • Work with suppliers, maintaining contracts and quality
  • Work closely with contract brewers, ensuring best in class process and continual improvement in quality, presentation, taste and aroma
  • Develop quality management systems, ensuring contract brewed beers is of the highest quality
  • Lead the NPD process for the company
  • Label sign off for allergens and compliance
  • Organise lab reports, interpreting and communicating findings
  • Sign off beers for release
Skills
  • Ideally CIBD Diploma in Brewing or higher or Degree in Brewing or equivalent 5+ years in a brewing environment
  • Excellent communication and strong leadership skills
  • Mechanical and engineering skills
