Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an experienced Radiographer to provide a safe, efficient mammography service for the trust and South Essex Screening. You will support the senior team, supervise junior staff, and help develop the service while maintaining patient safety and high-quality imaging.

The role requires a minimum of five years in senior clinical mammography with HCPC registration and relevant qualifications; you will work in a large, trusted organisation

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Radiography or Diploma required.
• HCPC Registration essential.
• Postgraduate/Certificate in Mammography preferred.
• Experience in clinical audit.
• PGDip Mammographic imaging or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking screening responsibilities.
• Justification of imaging referrals within guidelines.
• Work on mobile screening vans and QA information.
• Relay important information to patients and health professionals.
• Maintain high-quality mammography and patient safety.

Education

BSc (Hons) Radiography/Diploma of The College of Radiographers or equivalent

Certificate of Competence in mammography/Post Graduate Certificate in Mammographic Practice

HCPC Registration

Experience of clinical audit

PGDip Mammographic imaging or equivalent
