Senior Brand Marketing Designer @ Gett | The black taxi app

Marrying the tradition of black cabs with cutting-edge technology, Gett offers discerning travellers reliable taxi rides from dependable drivers. Based in the UK and Israel, we've been helping riders "Gett" where they need since 2010. In London, we're part of the furniture, with 1 in 9 Londoners having used Gett to order a taxi.

Our UK marketing team is tasked with spearheading growth with the goal of making Gett the go-to black taxi app for personal and business travellers alike. We're looking for a creative Senior Brand & Marketing Designer who will lead our UK visual communication strategy and execution across digital, video, and print channels.

What you'll Gett up to

It's an exciting time to join Gett – having reached profitability as a business in the UK, we're now fully focused on scaling our B2C and B2B operations to become London's most trusted taxi app.

As Gett's Senior Brand Marketing Designer, you will be responsible for the UK’s output from conception through to delivery. You'll be responsible for creating compelling visual content across multiple channels including social media, print materials, and digital campaigns.

Working cross-functionally across a team of global designers and UK marketing, you will be responsible for maintaining brand consistency, developing creative concepts, and producing high-quality designs that reflect our customers' attitudes (our typical customers love brands like Selfridges, Amex, and John Lewis).

On a typical day you might:

  • Design print materials like out-of-home campaigns and flyers for the sales team.
  • Spend time tightening up the local UK brand guidelines.
  • Conceptualise concepts with the marketing team for a design project.

Who we're looking for

You will be a creative designer who has strong technical skills and hands-on experience across multiple design disciplines. The right person might look like:

  • 4+ years experience across a broad range of design: You have extensive experience in both digital and print design, and knowledge of modern design trends.
  • Technical proficiency: You're highly skilled in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Premiere Pro.
  • Creative problem-solver: You can translate marketing objectives into compelling visual solutions that align with brand guidelines and campaign goals.
  • Art working specialist: You have strong attention to detail and experience preparing files for both digital and print production.
  • Video editing: You can create engaging video content from conception to final delivery.
  • Interest in AI tools for design: Using tools like Midjourney to speed up your workflow.

  • Talent Screen: (30-40 mins) Our Talent and People Partner Joe Phillips will be asking about your experience and motivation for joining Gett.
  • Hiring Manager: (1 hour video call) - Here you will meet Shai Agami (Head of Global Studio) & Ben Bailey (VP Marketing, UK)! They will deep dive into your design experience and technical skills. You will also have time to ask questions, so have them prepared!
  • Design Task: (1hr video call) - We will send over a time-boxed creative brief (no more than 2 hours prep) which will be presented to Shai, Ben, Shira (Brand design lead), and Vicky Taylor (Senior Brand Manager, UK). Presenting will be the first 20 mins and the rest of the interview will be Q+A around your work. You will also get a chance to ask questions.
  • Peer Review: (1 hour in-person) - Here you will meet members of the UK marketing team to discuss your experience and your motivation along with an opportunity to ask any questions directly to the team.

Please Note: To give you an idea of how long the process could take, I typically estimate 1 week per interview due to diary management - if we can fit 2 interviews in 1 week we will try. However, given the time of year, Talent Screens will take place early Jan 2025!
