Job summary

Avian Ecology is seeking a Senior/Principal Botanist to lead projects and mentor a team of ecologists across the UK. You will work on renewables and commercial development schemes, delivering clear assessments and robust documentation, liaising with planning authorities and stakeholders.

A role based near Warrington or Falkirk with hybrid/home working is available for the right candidate. You will oversee a diverse portfolio, contribute to professional development, and travel across the UK as

Qualifications

• A relevant Ecology or Environmental degree.
• Experience in consultancy and advising on botany requirements.
• Fieldwork experience to FISC Level 3 or higher and infrastructure surveys.
• Strong reporting skills for EIAs and appendices.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead on own projects and support the existing team.
• Coordinate the team of ecologists and oversee sub-consultants.
• Provide clear advice and robust documentation to support projects across the UK.
• Liaise with planning authorities, statutory agencies and stakeholders.
