Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead BMS commissioning projects from design review to project handover, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with project teams and develop BMS software configurations in line with company standards. A full UK driving licence and strong HVAC knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years BMS commissioning experience on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
• Experience with BACnet and Modbus communications.
• ECS/CSCS certification and site safety awareness.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities from design review through to project handover.
• Review specifications, drawings and control philosophies; identify issues and propose solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to commissioning engineers.
• Support solution design, scope development, proposals and costing.
• Develop and commission BMS software per project requirements.
• Coordinate commissioning with project managers, contractors and end users.
• Lead FAT, SAT, and client witness testing.
• Validate system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Produce commissioning documentation and handover packs.
• Configure and commission controllers and field devices.
• Identify risks and opportunities for successful delivery.
• Act as technical representative in customer meetings and handover.
