Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Senior BMS Commissioning Engineer in Manchester to lead commissioning efforts across commercial, healthcare, education and industrial projects. The role demands hands-on leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring safe, on-time delivery of high standards.

You will commission and optimise BMS systems, create operation descriptions and schedules, perform testing and fault-finding, and support project handover with client-facing duties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience commissioning BMS systems.
• Experience with at least two platforms: Trend, Tridium/Niagara, Siemens, Schneider or ALC.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and BMS strategies.
• Electrical competence with fault-finding and commissioning skills.
• Previous project leadership or mentoring experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Commission and optimise BMS systems across a variety of projects.
• Produce descriptions of operation, commissioning schedules and technical documentation.
• Carry out testing, fault finding, panel modifications and system validation.
• Lead commissioning activities and support project delivery from start to handover.
• Mentor and support junior engineers on site.
• Attend client meetings, carry out site surveys and provide technical support.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with programme requirements.
