Job summary

Locala Community Partnerships CIC in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Band 6 CNN Senior Bladder & Bowel Care Nurse. The role covers clinic-based work and home visits (37.5 hours per week) across North and South Kirklees, with leadership responsibilities to mentor teams and drive high-quality continence care. The successful candidate will deliver person-centred care and contribute to service improvements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with community nursing and/or continence care experience
• Strong clinical knowledge to manage complex patient needs
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience working autonomously and managing a varied caseload

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, treatment and management for bladder and bowel care needs
• Deliver care through a mix of clinic appointments and domiciliary visits across North and South Kirklees
• Develop and review individualised care plans to promote independence and quality of life
• Provide specialist advice and support to patients, carers and healthcare professionals
• Support catheter care and complex continence needs management
• Act as a specialist resource for Community Nursing Network teams and wider services
• Provide guidance, supervision and mentorship to colleagues
• Support service development initiatives and quality improvement projects
• Escalate clinical decisions and safeguarding concerns as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions
