Job summary

SRG, a leading biotechnology company in the UK, seeks a senior leader to guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists and specialists in delivering complex engineering and R&D programmes.

You will mentor, develop and motivate the team, foster a high-performing culture, and work closely with senior stakeholders to align objectives with business goals. Occasional travel to UK and international sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and managing technical or engineering teams.
• Strong track record of people management, coaching and team development.
• Experience delivering complex engineering, manufacturing, R&D or technology-led projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Degree qualified in Engineering.
• Degree in Bioengineering, Bioprocess Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience within biotechnology, life sciences, bioprocessing or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Chartered Engineer status or recognised leadership qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers, scientists and technical specialists.
• Build a high-performing, collaborative and accountable team culture.
• Manage project delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring objectives, timescales and budgets are achieved.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders, customers and external partners.
• Identify and manage risks, priorities and resources.
• Support the scale-up and commercialisation of innovative technologies.
