Job summary

UK Health Security Agency's Cambridge Microbiology laboratory is seeking a supervisory role within the microbiology team. You will oversee BMS, trainees and support staff and coordinate with senior staff on microbiological investigations and reporting.

Based at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, you will work with NHS and external partners to ensure timely processing and accurate results, while upholding UKHSA's commitment to equality and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Supervises BMS, Trainee, Support workers and other junior grade staff within a team.
• Liaise with more senior grade BMS and medical staff concerning microbiological investigations and other tasks to be performed, including explanation of results to ward and other clinical staff.
• Liaise with Quality Manager and Training Officer for quality and training issues.
• Liaise with external bodies including NHS staff and commercial companies.
