• Lead, coordinate and monitor provision of clinical and public health microbiology services, managing workflows and staffing to maximise quality and timeliness
• Deputise for the Regional Head of Laboratory Operations
• Develop and manage business continuity and resilience arrangements
• Oversee workforce planning, rostering, training and succession planning
• Manage equipment, consumables, maintenance, and supplier liaison
• Support integration of diagnostic techniques into patient pathways
• Lead service development and multi-sectional improvements
