Illumina is expanding access to genomic technology to advance health equity and improve human health. We seek a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to advance DRAGEN platform development and its integration with ICA, developing scalable algorithms for complex genomic datasets.

You will collaborate with software, FPGA, QA, clinical genomics, and customer teams, translating solutions into robust production environments while advancing technologies for rare disease, cancer genomics, and population

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in computer science, statistics, and genomics.
• Experience developing computational methods for genomic data.
• Expertise in NGS data analysis and production-grade software.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative algorithms to extract signals from sequencing data.
• Develop production software in C/C++ for genomic analysis workflows.
• Analyze and interpret complex genomic datasets to support product development.
• Collaborate with software, FPGA, QA, clinical genomics, and customer teams to deliver end-to-end workflows.
• Contribute to DRAGEN platform across germline, somatic, DNA, RNA, and structural variants.
