Job summary

COWI is seeking a Principal BIM Lead to strengthen our Digital Delivery team on UK infrastructure projects. Based from flexible offices in Glasgow, Derby, York, London or Bristol, you will drive high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings, enforce standards, and mentor colleagues across disciplines.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, develop families and libraries, implement automation and scripting to streamline workflows, and help set up projects for efficient handover.

Qualifications

• Experience leading digital delivery on UK infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of ISO19650 IMI framework and BIM Project Delivery.
• Strong coordination across multidisciplinary teams and experience with CDEs.
• Ability to train and mentor colleagues across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure full model integration.
• Develop families and component libraries; manage asset tagging.
• Implement automation/scripts to improve workflows and efficiency.
• Provide technical support across project lifecycles; training and mentoring.
