Job summary

COWI UK is seeking a Principal BIM Lead to reinforce its Digital Delivery team across Scotland and other UK offices. You will lead 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and multidisciplinary coordination on infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 and UK BIM Framework.

The role emphasises collaboration, software integration, scripting for workflow automation, training, and acting as a technical lead across Teams. Hybrid working in UK offices offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK BIM Framework and ISO19650 delivery roles.
• Proficient with Revit, Tekla and Bentley OpenBuildings on UK infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of scripting for automated workflows (Python/C#/Dynamo/Grasshopper).
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and interfaces.
• Experience with CDEs such as ProjectWise and ACC.

Responsibilities

• Driving production of high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings to COWI standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure fully integrated models.
• Provide technical support and guidance across project lifecycles.
• Implement automated scripts to enhance workflows and efficiency.
• Assist in setting up software, tools and processes for projects.
• Train colleagues and act as a lead specialist across teams.
• Support Discipline Management Team in developing internal processes.
• Maintain a positive attitude and focus on quality.
