Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power T&D is seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator to lead coordination and CAD/BIM production for substation projects. You will own the federated model, drive strategy, and maintain high-quality outputs across multiple sites in the UK.

The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on modelling and coordination duties, including automation initiatives. The position offers senior leadership responsibilities, with the opportunity to mentor teams and improve delivery efficiency

Qualifications

• Advanced BIM coordination and CAD/BIM production knowledge in live models.
• Proven experience leading teams and improving delivery through standards and coaching.
• Strong technical credibility to challenge and support designers and coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee federated BIM coordination model across projects.
• Lead BIM coordination strategy and governance across projects.
• Set and enforce BIM/CAD standards, templates and workflows.
• Act as technical authority for coordination and production issues.
• Hands-on with Revit and Navisworks as needed for complex interfaces.
• Introduce automation to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Mentor BIM Coordinators, technicians and engineers.
