Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power T&D is seeking a BIM Engineer to join the team working across Leeds, Newcastle or Glasgow. You will deliver technical BIM outputs, own discipline models for substations, and ensure accuracy and coordination with project BIM requirements.

You will develop Revit models, create parametric families, coordinate with engineers, and prepare models for clash detection while maintaining data quality.

Qualifications

• Strong Revit modelling capability and understanding of substations.
• Able to manage defined scopes with limited supervision.
• Problem-solving approach and ownership of deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage discipline-specific Revit models and drawings.
• Create and maintain parametric families and schedules.
• Coordinate closely with engineers to represent design intent accurately.
• Prepare models for clash detection and interdisciplinary review.
• Maintain model health, data quality, and performance.
• Support publishing and information exchange via the CDE.
