Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP (London) seeks a Billing Senior Coordinator to support the Europe billing team, handling end-to-end invoicing, proformas, VAT compliance and reporting. You will work with lawyers, partners and finance colleagues to ensure accurate billing and timely submissions.

The role requires strong numeracy, VAT knowledge and experience with 3E/ebilling Hub. A background in a large international law firm and proficiency in Excel are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Highly numerate with strong VAT awareness.
• Experience in an international law firm (1+ year).
• Experience with 3E or similar accounting systems.
• Familiarity with ebilling Hub and electronic billing systems.
• Proficient in Excel and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with review, printing, eprinting, and distribution of monthly proformas to lawyers and partners.
• Make amendments to proformas and perform quality checks before review.
• Distribute and follow up Pro Bono proformas.
• Produce draft invoices, finalised invoices and credit notes, ensuring bills are accurate.
• Over time, manage a small portfolio of routine billing matters from start to finish.
• Assist senior billing staff to validate new matter data and setups.
• Maintain accurate billing information within relevant systems and databases.
• Prepare information and reports for regular finance and WIP meetings.
• Ensure VAT compliance and Solicitors Accounts Rules are observed.
