Job summary

Loom Talent has been engaged by a global 3PL provider to appoint a Senior Bids and Tender Manager. The role offers flexible UK location with Midlands travel 2-3 days per week.

You will lead the full bid lifecycle, collaborate across commercial, operations, finance and IT, and develop compelling solutions with rigorous commercial modelling. Expect governance, deadlines, and senior stakeholder engagement as core priorities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Bid or Tender Management, ideally at Senior Manager level.
• End-to-end tender management experience, from qualification and bid strategy through to submission, presentations, negotiations and contract award.
• 3PL / Contract Logistics experience, with a strong understanding of warehousing and logistics operations.
• Experience managing complex, high-value tenders within logistics, supply chain or other contract-based environments.
• Strong understanding of commercial models, pricing, profitability and contract negotiations.
• Experience developing bid strategies, value propositions and win themes to differentiate proposals and improve win rates.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across Business Development, Solution Design, Operations, Finance and Legal.
• APMP accreditation would be advantageous.
• Previous people management or team leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop Tender Managers is desirable
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple complex tenders and competing deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• A strategic and commercially minded approach, with the ability to improve tender processes, governance and overall bid performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end bid lifecycle from qualification and strategy development to submission and post-submission clarifications.
• Evaluate bid opportunities for fit, commercial viability, and operational deliverability, ensuring alignment with capability and risk appetite.
• Collaborate with commercial, operations, finance, and IT teams to develop compelling logistics solutions.
• Oversee pricing models and costings across multi-site and multi-service solutions.
• Write and develop high-quality tender responses, executive summaries, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage timelines to deliver bids on time and in full.
• Engage with prospective clients to clarify requirements, present bid strategies and support negotiations.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to inform bid positioning.
• Drive bid process improvements and maintain content libraries.
• Ensure bids comply with governance, legal and contractual requirements.
