Job summary

Comtecs IT Recruitment Division seeks a skilled Business Intelligence Developer for a London-based Law Firm. The role focuses on SQL, ETL, and Power BI development across an Enterprise Data Warehouse, leveraging Azure Data Factory and Microsoft BI tools to deliver reliable, scalable insights.

The role emphasizes translating business requirements into BI solutions, strong stakeholder engagement, and experience with data modelling and governance.

Qualifications

• Expert SQL skills including complex queries and data types.
• Strong ETL design and data integration experience.
• Proficient in Power BI report and dashboard development with DAX.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory for data integration.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Kimball/Inmon).
• Ability to translate business needs into BI solutions and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL, data warehouse structures and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory.
• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models using DAX.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather, define and mature BI requirements.
• Translate business needs into practical BI solutions and reporting capabilities.
• Support integrations using Azure Data Factory, including REST API and OData connections.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive continuous improvements.
• Manage changes, documentation, security, governance and third-party relationships.
