Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Head Bartender to oversee day-to-day beverage service, maintain high standards, and deliver a refined experience for members and guests. You will lead by example with exceptional mixology and guest service, training junior staff and supporting menu development.

Working with the Bar Manager, you will manage stock and cleanliness, design seasonal menus, ensure licensing and safety compliance, and uphold the club’s elevated service culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bar experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Experience in luxury, private members club or high-end hospitality.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills; clear communication under pressure.
• Personal License or willingness to obtain one (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead bar operations during service, ensuring the bar is fully set, clean, and running smoothly.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality beverage service across cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Mentor, train, and support bar staff with product knowledge and service standards.
• Work with Bar Manager to design seasonal drinks menus, specials and events.
• Ensure licensing, hygiene, and health and safety compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of products, suppliers, trends; keep offerings engaging.
• Manage stock levels during service and assist with stock takes.
• Resolve guest issues promptly, ensuring members feel valued.
• Collaborate with floor, kitchen and events teams for seamless service.
• Uphold brand ethos through professional conduct and grooming.
