Job summary

Scrambly is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build the core systems behind our adtech platform. You will work on two main areas: customer-facing backend services and internal tooling for back-office operations. Expect to tackle high-scale challenges and contribute to architecture decisions across a modern stack.

You’ll write robust, high-performance code, mentor peers, and collaborate with Product, Design and QA to deliver reliable, scalable software for millions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a backend focus.
• Proficiency in Node.js and NestJS.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and DBs (PostgreSQL, Redis).
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Node.js RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
• Monitor reliability, optimize CI/CD and container lifecycles.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and QA to translate requirements into specs.
