Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend-focused engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs (public TTS, Payment, Subscription, Auth, and Consumption Tracking) and oversee the backend API landscape for performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience, work in a fast-paced, asynchronous environment, and deliver scalable solutions that delight users.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS/Azure.
• Experience deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
