The Guardian is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer to join the Apps Experience team on a 12 month fixed contract. You’ll work across Scala back-end and Typescript front-end, running in AWS, with a culture of collaboration.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team shaping the future of digital journalism, contributing to product decisions and engineering best practices while growing your skills. The role mixes hands-on coding with architectural input.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in back-end Scala development.
