Job summary

Ryft, a fast-growing fintech, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the systems that move money on a modern AWS-based platform. You'll work in C#/.NET, contribute to design, code, and production, and help shape an evolving payments stack.

You will build end-to-end backend features, ensure correctness under retries and concurrency, and own production readiness with instrumentation and incident response. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a small, ambitious team.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience building and running production backend services.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET; other modern typed language acceptable with fluency.
• Hands-on AWS production experience (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems design, asynchronous messaging, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship backend features end-to-end from design through to production.
• Design for correctness: idempotence, retries, concurrency, and money maths.
• Own production: instrumentation, alerting, on-call, and incident response.
• Collaborate with Product and squads to ship secure, scalable payments features.
• Contribute to technical direction and architectural decisions.
• Review code and raise the bar on quality.
