Job summary

J.P. Morgan Personal Investing, a unit of JPMorgan Chase & Co., seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive backend platform development using Java/Spring Boot.

You will build scalable, secure libraries supporting asynchronous architectures and collaborate with SDLC and Infrastructure teams to standardise workflows and promote best practices across the Investments technology landscape. You will mentor engineers, lead architectural initiatives, and champion secure, compliant coding standards

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Maven/Gradle in SDLC standardisation
• Understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns
• Champion of security best practices in backend development
• Experience designing modern APIs and microservice architectures
• Excellent communication, mentoring and stakeholder management
• Ability to drive technical direction across teams
• Experience enforcing coding standards and automated testing
• Understanding of controls and compliance in regulated environments
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted development tools and secure AI practices

Responsibilities
