Job summary

Ramp is hiring for a Senior Backend/Platform Engineer on the Money Platform, International team. You will build cross-border payment infrastructure and multi-currency accounting, enabling Ramp's expansion into global markets.

You will own end-to-end solutions, from architecture to production reliability, collaborating with compliance, product, and ops to navigate regional requirements across multiple countries and currencies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend or platform engineering in high-scale production.
• Strong systems design skills for ambiguous, reliable solutions.
• Experience in fast-moving environments with high ambiguity.
• Comfort with distributed systems, performance, and reliability.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build payment infrastructure across countries, currencies, and regimes.
• Design multi-currency accounting and reconciliation at scale.
• Integrate with international banking rails (SEPA, BACS, SWIFT).
• Launch new markets (0-1) and scale existing ones (1-N).
• Collaborate with compliance, product, ops, and partners on regional rules.
• Own problems end-to-end from architecture to production reliability.
