Job summary

Leap29 seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Abingdon to design and develop high-performance desktop and cloud applications. You will own solutions from architecture to deployment, working across C#/.NET and C++ codebases, modernising legacy software and guiding UI/UX improvements.

You'll lead code reviews, mentor peers, and explore AI-assisted tools to raise product quality, while collaborating with product owners and scientists on scalable innovations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience delivering production-grade software.
• Strong C# and .NET experience, plus C/C++ development.
• Experience with desktop applications in engineering or data-heavy domains.
• Solid OO design, patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with automated testing, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GC) and UI/UX modernization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance desktop and cloud apps.
