Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the AWS-based custody infrastructure, blockchain node operations, and wallet management services. You will automate deployments with IaC tools, containerize workloads with Kubernetes/Docker, and integrate with third-party custodians.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience running cloud infrastructure (AWS) in production.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain/crypto-related integrations is a plus.
• Strong background in infrastructure as code and automated deployments.
• Proven ability to own and operate critical backend services at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and run AWS infrastructure behind custody, key management, and blockchain node operations.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration management to reduce manual ops.
• Run blockchain nodes, maintain health and availability.
• Develop Python services for infrastructure management and wallet operations.
• Own integrations with third-party custodians and containerized deployments.
• Set up monitoring and alerting to detect issues before customers.
• Apply security controls across access, key management, and incident response.
• Provide on-call support to keep custody systems reliable and available.
