Job summary

Too Good To Go is building a brand-new London engineering hub and seeks Senior Backend Software Engineers to join the founding team. You will define, build, and deliver product features for an international, top-class platform while working with the rest of the global Tech organisation.

You will take ownership of complex backend challenges, collaborate closely with Lead Engineer, and guide mid-level engineers as the hub grows.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend experience in Java stack.
• Strong hands-on with Spring Boot and relational DBs (MySQL).
• Knowledge of distributed systems and modern AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve backend services and infrastructure to support growth.
• Develop features for customers and partner businesses.
• Participate in agile processes with a focus on quality and maintainability.
• Deliver scalable, high-quality product components end-to-end.
• Mentor mid-level engineers as the hub grows.
• Own complex backend features and guide architecture decisions.
