Job summary

Too Good To Go is building a brand-new London engineering hub. We are seeking foundational Senior Backend Software Engineers to join a newly formed team and help shape a global product. You will own complex backend challenges, collaborate with the Lead Engineer, and mentor mid-level engineers as the hub scales.

You will work on a Spring Boot Java stack deployed on Kubernetes in AWS, delivering high-quality, maintainable code for an international audience alongside a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend experience in Java ecosystem and SpringBoot.
• Proven production work with Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, messaging, and Git.
• Familiar with Domain Driven Design and Clean/Hexagonal architecture.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services (SQS, SNS, S3), Elasticsearch, Redis, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and scalable systems.
• Ability to break down complex tasks and mentor others.
• Track record delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
• Enjoy cross-functional teamwork within product teams.
• Pride in writing robust, production-ready software.
