M-KOPA is seeking a senior Backend Engineer to join our Asset Sales group as we scale our FinTech platform. You will build and operate distributed C#/.NET microservices on Azure, embracing an AI-native engineering approach.

This fully remote role supports teams across the UK, Europe and Africa, with a focus on delivering measurable value and production-readiness. You will own end-to-end delivery, collaborate across time zones, and contribute to scalable architectures, observability, and robust

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of C# and .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven messaging systems (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Microservices architecture on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Application Insights) to understand production behaviour.
• Ability to use AI tools as part of daily engineering workflow.
• DevOps culture and on-call ownership.
• Proven ability to collaborate in distributed teams across time zones.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
