DISCO is expanding its UK hub, inviting engineers to join a team that builds a cloud-native AI-powered legal platform. You will own complex backend work end to end, contribute to architecture, monitor system health, and collaborate with global teams. The role emphasizes mentoring through code reviews and pairing.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with scalable microservices.
• Strong understanding of distributed data management and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing and operating containerised software in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency with Java family languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala) is required.

Responsibilities

• Own complex technical work end to end, including design and implementation.
• Contribute to architectural design and system health monitoring.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews, pairing, and guidance.
