Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build backend systems powering AI agent orchestration. You will develop scalable APIs and platform capabilities for tool use, workflow orchestration, memory management, and state handling.

You will partner with Core Platform, Training, Sandboxes, and Compute teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and developer‑friendly capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building scalable backend systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud‑native architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with production services at scale.
• Experience building developer tools or infrastructure products.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services for AI agent orchestration.
• Develop scalable APIs and platform capabilities for tool use and workflow management.
• Build reliable infrastructure for long‑running distributed AI workloads.
• Partner with product, research, and platform teams to production‑ize new capabilities.
• Improve observability, reliability, and performance as workloads grow.
• Mentor engineers on system design and backend best practices.
