Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial software engineering experience with a backend focus.
• Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET.
• Experience designing, building, and supporting scalable APIs, services, and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of delivering secure, resilient, high-performance software in production.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Relational databases expertise, including SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern deployment approaches.
• Understanding of secure software development principles and application security.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver complex back-end services, APIs, and distributed systems powering critical applications.
• Lead the technical delivery of strategic initiatives from concept to production deployment.
• Drive architectural decisions to improve scalability, maintainability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices across the SDLC.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, estimates, and delivery plans.
• Design and implement robust APIs, microservices, and data-driven solutions.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and delivery challenges.
• Conduct code and design reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Define and improve testing, observability, and operational excellence practices.
• Investigate production issues and drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis.
