Dex is collaborating with a partner company to build an AI-backed backend platform that handles sensitive financial data. The role is a staff-track IC focused on owning core services end-to-end, from architecture to deployment, with strong emphasis on reliability, latency, and security.

You will work with a lean senior backend team, reporting to founders, and partner with ML engineers to productionise models within robust systems. This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a regulated domain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable production systems.
• Expert Python with FastAPI and PostgreSQL query optimisation.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and secure, regulated environments.

Responsabilités

• Architect and build scalable backend services and APIs for an AI workspace handling sensitive financial data.
• Design and implement high-performance data pipelines for large-scale financial datasets.
• Optimise PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and indexing in a high-throughput environment.
• Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and shape engineering culture as the platform scales.
