Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Back End Engineer to support and improve back-end production processes across regional manufacturing sites. You will provide technical expertise for installations, audits, troubleshooting, maintenance optimization, and capital projects while collaborating with plant leadership, engineering teams, suppliers, and global stakeholders.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, process standardization, and continuous improvement within manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Mechanical engineering background or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading technical projects and coordinating activities.
Fluency in English; additional European languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering expertise to support capital projects and process improvements.
Assist plants with technical problem-solving and equipment optimization.
Drive process and maintenance standardization across regional sites.
Offer technical training and guidance to plant personnel.
Collaborate with suppliers and OEM partners to improve equipment performance.
Prepare detailed technical reports after site visits and investigations.
Identify root causes of maintenance cost overruns and implement corrective actions.
Manage small-scale engineering and plant improvement projects.
Work with Global Engineering teams to maintain standards and best practices.
