Job summary

Ball Corporation, based in the United Kingdom, seeks a Production Manager to lead continuous manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency. The role drives standardization across shifts and requires coaching of shift managers to ensure compliance and high performance.

The successful candidate will monitor performance via KPIs, drive cost and spoilage improvements, and foster accountability and employee engagement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading teams in a continuous operation.
• Fluent English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety compliance across all shifts.
• Drive standardization to ensure consistency in processes and performance.
• Lead, coach, and mentor shift managers to maintain process compliance and quality.
• Monitor plant performance using management indicators and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in plant management initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost.
• Build employee engagement and foster a culture of excellence.
• Ensure training programs are implemented and aligned with standards.
• Promote autonomous maintenance and preventive practices to maximize asset utilization.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and Code of Ethics.
• Analyze production processes for cost and resource optimization.
• Encourage root-cause problem solving using BOE-defined tools.
• Maintain positive relationships with employees, unions, and peers.
• Ensure flexible work schedules to meet production needs.
