Job summary

Howden is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Azure Data & AI Platform team. You’ll write Terraform, design network architectures, implement MLOps pipelines, and apply DevSecOps patterns in a hands-on role.

You’ll work in the code, the CLI, and the infrastructure daily, building and operating an Azure-based data platform with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and CI/CD for notebooks and pipelines. Remote-first with occasional in-office travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years platform/infrastructure engineering experience on production systems.
• Deep Azure knowledge across networking, IAM, storage, compute and PaaS services.
• Databricks deployment experience and Unity Catalog knowledge.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Bicep, modular large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure landing zones, hub-spoke networks, and governance.
• Deploy Databricks workspaces and integrate with data services.
• Build and maintain CI/CD for notebooks and pipelines, with security gates.
• Develop platform tooling and self-service capabilities for engineers.
