Job summary

Howden is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build and operate an Azure-based data and AI platform. This hands-on role involves Terraform, network design, MLOps pipelines, and DevSecOps patterns for daily engineering use.

You will design landing zones, manage security with proper IAM, monitor with Azure Monitor, and enable cost controls while collaborating across data, security, and product teams to deliver scalable cloud services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years platform/infrastructure engineering experience on production platforms.
• Deep Azure knowledge: networking, IAM, storage, compute, PaaS services.
• Databricks deployment, Unity Catalog, and cost optimization experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure landing zones and subscription architecture.
• Deploy and configure Databricks workspaces and Unity Catalog.
• Build ML model deployment pipelines using Azure ML or Databricks MLflow.
• Create self-service tooling and automation for platform tasks.
• Write documentation and participate in on-call rotation.
