Proactive Appointments in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, build and operate robust cloud data platforms. You will work across Databricks and Azure Synapse, emphasizing automation, security and reliability in production environments.

You will own infrastructure as code (Pulumi, Terraform or Bicep), CI/CD pipelines, data governance, and monitoring, contributing to scalable, governed data workflows across the data platform.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience building and managing data platforms in the cloud.
• Strong focus on automation, security and reliability.
• Experience with Databricks and Azure Synapse.
• Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi, Terraform or Bicep.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Databricks governance and Unity Catalog.
• Monitoring with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL.
• Python/PySpark for scalable data pipelines.
• Security and access management for cloud data platforms.

Senior Data Platform Engineer - Remote

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Data / Platform Engineer to join their Data & Analytics team.

This is not a traditional Azure Data Engineering role. They're looking for someone with genuine, hands-on experience building and managing data platforms, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure, automation, security and reliability.

You'll be working across:

• Databricks & Azure Synapse
• Azure platform engineering - ADLS, Key Vault, networking, RBAC & private endpoints
• Infrastructure as Code - Pulumi, Terraform or Bicep
• CI/CD - GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps
• Databricks workspace administration, Unity Catalog & governance
• Monitoring & observability - Azure Monitor, Log Analytics & KQL
• Python / PySpark and scalable data pipelines
• Security, access management, automation and platform operations

We're particularly interested in engineers with experience across the broader data platform, rather than those whose background is primarily focused on ADF or Synapse analytics.
