Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for Private Equity engagements across the UK and Europe. You will lead technology strategy, design AWS-based solutions for PE portfolios, and collaborate with C-suite executives to drive transformational IT programs.

You will engage with customers on pre- and post-sales activities, travel as needed, and contribute to skill-building and reference architectures while influencing AWS product direction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale IT/engineering programs.
• Experience with PE/VC/IBI tech strategy or IT implementations related to M&A.
• Experience with customers in technical pre-sales, post-sales, consulting, or support.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Experience with customer relationship management, especially C-suite engagement.
• Experience architecting or operating solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI.
• Experience in data science, ML, or data mining.
• Knowledge of distributed/enterprise applications.
• Experience in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data analytics.
• Experience delivering presentations to large diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design technology solutions with PE firms and portfolio company executives to address business challenges.
• Define USE cases and design AWS-based technical solutions, including third-party integrations.
• Own technical relationship with PE firms and portfolio company C-suite as trusted advisor.
• Join AWS PE team to help architect, build, migrate, or optimize applications on AWS.
• Build rapport with PE executives by leveraging enterprise architecture, M&A, migration, and cost optimization knowledge.
• Lead discussions with CTOs/CIOs/Senior Architects across the PE segment to establish credibility.
• Provide technical guidance and develop cost-optimization strategies through appropriate architectures.
• Educate stakeholders in the Private Equity ecosystem about AWS technologies.
• Influence AWS roadmap based on customer feedback and best practices.
• Create and capture best practices, technical content, and reference architectures (white papers, code samples, blog posts).
• Contribute to growth of Solutions Architecture by hiring, coaching, mentoring others.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to customer outcomes.
